Back to work

We had a great Memorial Day weekend at Hell's Gate State Park in Lewiston, Idaho.  We went down on Friday night, camped out, played golf Saturday and Sunday, and came home yesterday tired and dirty.  Camping was interesting… our spot was pretty much as far as it could be from the bathrooms.  Not such a big deal during the day but at 2am when I had to pee it was quite inconvenient.  I told Eric I am not sure how well I will do sleeping in a tent once we get farther along in this adventure.  Usually we take at least one other camping trip over the summer but we'll see about that.  We did scope out some of the little cabins for next year, since I think the tent was a little too cold at night for a little bitty baby.  Travel trailer shopping might also be in our future.  Times are changing!

I had a similar experience when we camped at the Grand Canyon a couple weeks ago. That ground sure is hard!
For some reason for the past few weeks my knees have been killing me. I guess I've always had a bit of joint pain around my period but this is amplified, and instead of lasting a couple days it's been a month. I'm assuming it's some hormone that's doing it.
Anyway, joint pain and camping/hiking don't mix very well. Neither do a pea-size bladder, pitch black, and a half-mile jaunt to the bathroom.
I totally want to get a trailer too. We could meet up in Yellowstone!

Oh yeah that would be fun! I can see us now, sitting around the campfire, our kids playing in the dirt together, ha!

That joint pain is probably b/c of relaxin, that hormone that helps loosen up your body in preparation for 1) stretching and getting bigger throughout pregnancy and 2) the whole mega-stretching part: the birth. :) I read that levels of relaxin peak at 14 weeks and also again around birth. I had hip pain for quite awhile, to a point where I couldn't even lift up my right leg higher than a few inches off the ground.

I'm so excited to go through all this stuff again. It's so fun reading all of your experiences!
