Nursery beginnings

I feel very accomplished today, as we got lots of work done over the weekend. We got two coats of paint completely done in Seth's room, yay! I did about 75% of the cutting in and Eric did the rest. Once he started rolling paint on the walls it got really stinky in there and he shoo'd me away. Better safe than sorry I guess. The paint can does say right on it that it contains ingredients known to cause birth defects in the state of CA. I'm still not completely done with the painting though, I have some surprises up my sleeve, but I'm going to wait until it's done so I can take a picture and you can see for yourself. You can see the work in progress pictures from this weekend on my Eachday site. We matched the color to the crib bedding set we picked out. When it first started going up on the walls I wasn't quite sure about it, but once we were done I decided it looks great. And it will look even better when we start getting stuff in there. I'm leaning toward keeping the espresso crib but I still haven't made up my mind 100%. I'm going to have to get the boxes open and get a good look at the wood. I've seen a lot of reviews that say the colors are not as they appear in the pictures on the web, so we'll see. The funny part is, we found a dresser/changer this weekend at Babies R Us that we really like, and it is neither espresso OR oak, so that figures. But it is 39" high which is a nice happy medium for both Eric and I (majority of others are 33-35"). We didn't buy it yet, because we still haven't checked at any regular furniture stores. There's got to be something else out there that we'll love and that will match!
